Nandrolone laurate (Laurabolin) is an injectable form of nandrolone. When comparing this compound to Deca Durabolin, it is essential to understand the difference in the carbon atoms. In this particular case, the laurate ester contains 2 longer carbon atoms, giving it an even longer half life than that of the decanoate ester.

Laurate ester

Laurate ester is also commonly called dodeacnoic (dodecanoic) or laurostearic (lauric stearic) acid, and it is the longest releasing ester used in commercial steroid production. It has a half life of about 18 days vs. 14 days seen with deca durabolin. The advantage of this ester is that less injections are needed, and it will remain in the body for a longer time once you stop taking it.

Laurabolin has the nandrolone properties of being a mild anabolic steroid with some androgenic qualities. However, it is far less androgenic than other compounds.

Interestingly, it is mostly used for domestic and farm animals, to help with elderly animals, and also those suffering from low weight from illness or any type of catabolic health issue. Just like other veterinary drugs, some athletes will get a hold of Laurabolin, and use it for bodybuilding purposes.

Athletes can expect very slow and steady results from using Nandrolone laurate. Compared to the “faster” steroids, such as trenbolone or dianabol, Laurabolin's mass and strength gains will be much easier to keep.

Obviously, with the longer half life it will stretch out the ester much longer than other compounds, so stacking is going to be important in order to get the best results. Just like with all nandrolones, I would recommend to stack Laurabolin with a DHT derivative compound such as masteron or proviron, along with a more androgenic compound to give it a kick (testosterone for example). It would also be a smart decision to use an oral steroid to kickstart the cycle, as it will probably take several weeks to notice anything substantial from Laurabolin due to the long ester.
